Grains represents many of the agricultural problems in our global community. The agricultural surpluses of wealthy countries that are grown and stored but never consumed. Agro-chemical companies' proliferation of GMO's solely for the purpose of generating revenue. Corruption within food distribution systems for those who need it most. Ever pervasive hunger.
Each grain of rice counted by the performers changes the sound in the slightest way. Gradually, the sound is transformed, grain by grain, sample by sample.
